In the book Yalkut ME'AM LO'EZ Torah Anthology Genesis 1:1 we are told on Page 35 that;

It is important that we not probe too deeply into the mysteries. We should not try to find out what the world was like before heaven and earth were created, or what it will be like after they no longer exist.

The reference to this prohibition can be found in the; Mishnah Hagigah 2:1
אין דורשין בעריות בשלשה. ולא במעשה בראשית בשנים. ולא במרכבה ביחיד אלא אם כן היה חכם ומבין מדעתו.'

The forbidden degrees may not be expounded before three persons, nor the Account of Creation before two, nor the Account of the Chariot before one alone, unless he is a Sage that al­ready understands of his own know­ledge.

Neither should we seek to find out what is above the heavens, below the earth, or beyond the four directions, east, west, north and south. The human mind obviously cannot even grasp a thousandth of all this, so it is best not to think of these things at all. If a person spends his time contemplating these things, it would be better if he had never been born.


In the Torah in Genesis 1:20 we see from the first account of the gods creating living creatures IE swarms for the water, and fowl to fly above the earth.

In the Hebrew Torah the word נֶפֶשׁ Nefesh is translated as creature Perhaps we can perceive that Nefesh can be considered a metaphysical substance used as a building-block/foundation of all life forms. The word which is associated with "Nefesh" is also found in the hebrew tora. The Hebrew word חַיָּה meaning Life. נֶפֶשׁ הַחַיָּה Nefesh Hayyah "living creature". In the Hebrew Torah, is also known as the Tree of Life Eitz Chayim עֵץ הַחַיִּים in the Genesis story of the Garden of Eden.

Like wise evolving next in the use of the Nefesh - DNA Genesis 1:21 we see that the gods then crated the great sea-monsters, and every living creature that creeps.

Next up in the creating process we now see what is known as the beginning of evolution, the "Nefesh - DNA also- Tree of life". The manipulation of this Nefesh is now turned over to the earth to do its natural selection process. We see that the gods in this next verse did not create any of the land bound animals, as the Torah states in Genesis 1:24 "Let the Earth bring forth". Also from the earth which was combined with the Nefesh the gods used those existing substances and "made" not created, as we can see in Genesis 1:25.

Now we come to an important milestone after millions of years in the contentious evolving natural selection processes where something transpires which nothing has ever occurred like it as described in Genesis 1:26 where the gods for some reason decided to "make" ie form, "not create", a human. We can conclude that since there were no creating going on that man was indeed formed from the already formed Nefesh. If so the more intelligent animals which have evolved by way of the evolution of the natural selection process which would be the best candidate would have been from Homo erectus species of animals where we now have humans such as you and I called Homo sapiens.
